I have been driven by a strong desire to be of service to others for a very long time, and I was recently lucky enough to meet someone who shares that passion, as well as a passion for personal watercraft.
After a couple of conversations it became obvious that Ron and I shared a vision for sharing our knowledge with others who enjoy the waterways of this incredibly beautiful country. Little did we know that our tiny little website and facebook page would end up garnering international attention, skyrocketing us into a position to help thousands of people and impact the world under the banner of two older and wiser organizations, ProWatercross and the Watercraft Network. With their help we have been able to craft targeted campaigns that educate the public on the rights and responsibilities of personal watercraft operators within the realms of environmental stewardship, safety, and youth empowerment. Without them we would not have been inaugural recipients of the ProWatercross Safety Pioneer Award for 2019.
As The Personal Watercraft Safety Initiative hits its 6th month of operation, looking back at how much we have accomplished, I can only say I am excited for what's to come next, as we extend our reach into volunteerism in the Bahamas and beyond.
